Young scientists gather at RDS
Students from across country will brave the elements this morning as they head to Dublin's RDS in a bid to be named as BT Young Scientist 2010.
The event opens to the public tomorrow with the winner named on Friday night.
Chief organiser Mari Cahalane said the prize comprised €5,000, a Waterford Crystal trophy and "the coolest part" - the chance to represent Ireland in the European Young Scientist competition in Lisbon later this year.
