Dublin gardaí question four over double killing

Gardaí are questioning four people over a double fatal shooting in Dublin City Centre last night.

Gardaí were called to the scene at the Pearse House flat complex on Dublin's Pearse Street just before 7pm yesterday evening.

It is believed a number of men forced their way into the flat and opened fire on the two men inside.

One of the men sustained injuries to his head and was rushed to St. James' Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The other man received injuries to his chest and died a short time later.

The scene has been sealed off for a full technical and forensic examination.

And post mortems are expected to take place later.

These killings come after the body of John Paul Joyce was discovered down a lane at the back of Dublin Airport.

The 29-year-old who was shot at least twice had links to organised crime.
