Divers call off search for missing man in Cork

Naval divers searching for a 27-year-old man missing in Cork city have stood down their operation for the night.

The divers were called in after receiving reports that a man was seen in the River Lee at Sullivan's Quay on New Year’s Eve.

Several searches of the south channel of the river near Parnell Bridge were carried out today, and will resume at first light tomorrow.
