Pensioner dies from fall in care home

An 82-year-old woman was killed when she fell from second floor of a nursing home in Cork today.

The woman fell from a window of the Care Choice nursing home on the Middle Glanmire Road in Montenotte at around 7.30am this morning.

Gardaí say her death was a tragic accident and have begun preparing a file on the incident for the Cork City Coronor’s Court.
