Two in court in connection with St Stephen's night assault

Two men have appeared in court in Ennis, Co Clare again today charged in connection with an assault that led to the death of Brian Casey.

The 26-year-old from Lissycasey died in hospital yesterday after an attack on St Stephen's night.

Harry Dinan, with an address at Waterpark Heights in Ennis, and his 22- year-old nephew Kevin Dinan of Clarehill in Clarecastle were yesterday charged with assault causing harm.

The two were further remanded in custody today and will again appear in court on January 8.
