Hundreds expected at Garda funeral

Huge crowds are expected in Co Leitrim today for the funeral of Garda Gary McLoughlin who was killed in the line of duty in Co Donegal.

The 24-year-old officer from Ballinamore will be laid to rest following funeral mass in Foxfield at midday.

Garda Gary Mc Loughlin died in the early hours of Monday morning, from injuries he sustained in a crash at Lisfannon on Sunday morning.

Today, his family, friends and the wider garda community will come together to say a final farewell to the young officer.
