PSNI launch murder inquiry in Co Derry

Police in the North have launched a murder inquiry after a man was beaten to death in Derry in the early hours of this morning.

Twenty-eight-year-old Trevor Spears sustained fatal injuries when he was attacked outside the Havana Nightclub in Portstewart at around 2am.

A 31-year-old man and a 20-year-old man are being questioned by police.

They are also appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
