The body removed from Dublin's Grand Canal yesterday has been formally identified as missing Cork man Damian O'Brien.

The body removed from Dublin's Grand Canal yesterday has been formally identified as missing Cork man Damian O'Brien.

O'Brien - originally from Clonakilty - was last seen near Baggot Street Bridge in Dublin two weeks ago today.

His body was recovered by Garda divers at lunchtime yesterday.

The 37-year-old worked for Fáilte Ireland.

A 'Find Damian' group on social networking site Facebook had almost 14,000 members.
