A Dáil public accounts watchdog is launching an investigation after just 12 trainees completed a course at a €6.7m FÁS college in the Taoiseachs constituency.

A Dáil public accounts watchdog is launching an investigation after just 12 trainees completed a course at a €6.7m FÁS college in the Taoiseachs constituency.

The centre, based just outside Tullamore in Co Offaly, was opened at the start of this year and runs courses for a maximum of 12 weeks.

The state training agency has previously come under fire for overspending.
