Customs officers have seized drugs worth more than €250,000 at Dublin Airport in two separate seizures.

Officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized approximately 20kgs of herbal cannabis worth around €240,000 from the baggage of a South African woman who had arrived from Johannesburg.

The woman appeared before Blanchardstown District Court this morning and was remanded in custody.

It is the second drug seizure at Dublin Airport this week.

On Tuesday, customs officers intercepted two Guinea-Bissau nationals who had arrived on a flight from Lisbon with €35,000 worth of cocaine.

One of the men had concealed two pellets, containing 100 grams, internally while the other man had ingested 45 pellets containing 400 grams of cocaine.

Both men, who are in their 30s, appeared at Blanchardstown District Court this morning and were also remanded in custody.
