A secondary school teacher's career is at an end as a result of being put on administrative leave due to what he claims are untrue and false allegations that he sexually abused one of his students.

The High Court today heard that the teacher was the subject of a complaint made in 2001, about event that allegedly occurred in 2000 early 2001 was not made aware of the allegations until July 2003. He was only given the complaint's identity in 2005 some four years after the initial complaint was made to the HSE.
