Further rain expected in flood-hit areas
Emergency teams and flood rescue crews are on standby across Ireland as more rain is expected to hit the country tomorrow.
The floods in Kildare, Dublin, Meath and the Midlands overnight have now reached their peak and water levels are beginning to receed.
However, Limerick is being monitored carefully as high tides are due in the area which could affect water levels in the Shannon Estuary.
Chairman of the National Emergency Response Committee Sean Hogan said the rain expected tomorrow could cause further flood problems in areas where rivers have been saturated.
