Two in court in connection with stabbing death of Arklow shopkeeper
Two men appeared in court in Arklow last night charged in connection with an incident in the town earlier this week in which a shopkeeper died.
John Deasy, a 45-year-old father of two, was fatally stabbed when he went to the aid of a colleague during a robbery at his premises in Arklow on Wednesday night.
Two 19-year-old men who were arrested in the town on Friday appeared before a special sitting of Arklow District Court last night.
They were charged in connection with the robbery and remanded in custody to appear before Wicklow District Court next Friday, December 4.
