Rape Crisis Centre busy taking calls prior to report

The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre has said its counsellors are already flat out dealing with calls ahead of the publication of the report into clerical sex abuse in the Dublin Archdiocese.

The Murphy report into how the Church hierarchy dealt with abuse allegations will be published later this afternoon.

The DRCC is working in conjunction with other victim support groups and the HSE's national counselling service whose helpdesk number is 1800 670 700.

DRCC Chief Executive Ellen O'Malley-Dunlop said they have learned lessons from the publication of the Ryan report into institutional abuse.
