Unions and Government resume pay cut talks

Unions and Government will go back into talks today aimed at reaching agreement on cuts to the public service pay bill.

It has been nearly three weeks since the two sides met.

The unions voiced their strong opposition to the Government's plan yesterday with a day of national strike action - and a second one is being threatened next week if progress is not made.
