Teenager dies in Galway road accident

A teenager has been killed in a car crash in Co Galway.

It happened at Lettermore at around 10.30pm last night.

The 16-year-old boy was the front-seat passenger of the car which left the road and overturned.

He died at the scene and the driver was taken to University College Hospital Galway with minor injuries.

The road is closed for a technical examination.
