FG: Floods need independent probe

An independent inquiry should be launched into the cause of some of the worst flooding in the Republic of Ireland in living memory, it was claimed today.

Hundreds of people have been evacuated in Galway, Ennis and Cork, where 18,000 homes were left without water.
