Preliminary report shows no technical fault with Galway crash plane
A preliminary report into the crash of a Aer Corps plane in Co Galway released today says there were no technical defects with the aircraft.
It also shows witnesses in the area reported "rapidly changing cloud height and visibility" at the time.
Captain Derek Furniss and Cadet David Jevens were killed when their training aircraft hit a mountain in Connemara on October 12.
Air accident investigators say a review of the flight recorders from the plane indicate the crew was trying to navigate to their next planned reporting point when the crash happened.
