McLaren to issue free safety kits

Pushchair manufacturer Maclaren will issue safety kits to parents concerned by reports of children's fingertips being cut off when using their pushchairs.

The company, which made the same move in the US earlier this week, had previously said it wasn't necessary here.

But it has changed its mind and customers can get the hinge covers free-of-charge from customer services.
