A special mass to mark the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the GAA has been held at Thurles Cathedral.

A special mass to mark the 125th anniversary of the foundation of the GAA has been held at Thurles Cathedral.

The Gaelic Athletic Association was founded on the November 1, 1884 at Hayes Hotel in Thurles, Co Tipperary.

Events will also be held today at the GAA Museum in Croke Park in Dublin.
