Garda Ombudsman to investigate car crash

The Garda Ombudsman is today investigating a car crash in Co Donegal in which an 18-year-old woman was injured.

The accident, involving just one vehicle, happened around 2.30am this morning on the main Buncrana to Burnfoot Road near Fahan village.

It is understood the woman was being 'monitored' by gardaí at the time.

She has been taken to Letterkenny General Hospital, where her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
