Gardaí release man held after fatal crash in Cork
Gardai have released a man in his 20s who was being questioned in connection with yesterday morning's fatal crash in east Cork.
The man was detained after a head-on collision that claimed the lives of two other young men who were travelling to Cork Airport to catch a flight to Amsterdam.
The crash happened at around 2.45am yesterday near Castlemartyr.
Twenty-four-year-old Brendan Donnelly and 26-year-old Lee Salkeld, both with addresses in Waterford city, died in the collision.
Two women who were travelling with them were also injured and are recovering at Cork University Hospital.
The driver of the other car was arrested after the incident, but was released without charge last night.
