Polish man found guilty of rape after breaking into woman's home

A Polish national has been convicted of raping and sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend in her County Offaly home after tying up her boyfriend and attacking him with a knife and baton.

The 43-year-old accused had pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to rape and oral rape on November 25, 2007.
