The North's drink-driving limit could be reduced next year to even lower than the 50mg per 100ml of blood currently being proposed here by Transport Minister Noel Dempsey.

The proposals lead to a stormy Fianna Fáil parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday, at which backbenchers strongly opposed Minister Dempsey's plans to lower the limit.
