Elderly woman dies in Donegal house fire

An elderly woman has died in a fire at a house in Buncrana, Co Donegal, this morning.

Gardaí say the blaze broke out at a cottage on Cockhill Road at around 3am.

The woman who died was in her 80s.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination to determine the cause of the fire, but gardaí say they are not treating it as suspicious.
