The inquest into the death of the McElhill family during a house fire in Omagh almost two years ago is due to get underway in the North today.

Arthur McElhill, his partner Lorraine McGovern and their five children all died in the blaze at their house in Lammy Crescent in November 2007.

Mr McElhill - a convicted sex offender - was suspected of starting the fire.

The inquest, which is due to get underway at Omagh courthouse later today, is expected to continue until Thursday.
