Car blast injures woman in Belfast

A woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries after an explosion under a car in Belfast today.

One unconfirmed report said the blast was near the home of a police officer.

A spokesman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said they were investigating a security alert at Kingsdale Park, off Kings Road in the east of the city.

An ambulance service spokesman said a woman was taken to hospital with slight injuries.
