New Ceann Comhairle promises reform
Seamus Kirk was elected as the new Ceann Comhairle of the Dáil by a margin of 87 votes to 51, and promised to play his part in parliamentary reform.
The Louth Fianna Fáil TD succeeds John O'Donoghue, who resigned earlier today over the controversy surrounding expenses he incurred while in office.
