Young Mental Health Conference to be held in Dublin
Today is World Mental Health Day and Mental Health Ireland is putting specific emphasis on highlighting problems among young people.
A recent study shows that three quarters of those who have mental health disorders in their mid-twenties had similar problems at 18 and half of them had problems at 15.
To help promote support services, the Inaugural Young Mental Health Conference will be held in the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire this afternoon.
Dr Brendan Doody of the HSE said mental health disorders among young people are widespread.
