Police in the North have released two men arrested yesterday as part of the investigation into the murder of Kevin McDaid in Coleraine earlier this year.

Police in the North have released two men arrested yesterday as part of the investigation into the murder of Kevin McDaid in Coleraine earlier this year.

The men were detained in the Coleraine area yesterday morning, but were freed without charge overnight.

Mr McDaid, a 39-year-old Catholic community worker, was beaten to death by a loyalist mob following Rangers' victory in the SPL title race in May.

More than 10 men have been charged in connection with the murder.
