Post mortem due following stabbing on Arranmore

A post mortem is due to be carried out this afternoon on the body of a young man who died following an incident on Arranmore island.

The 19-year-old was stabbed outside a pub in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He was transferred to Letterkenny General Hospital, but died from his injuries.

A 39-year-old was arrested by gardaí in connection with the incident, but he also had to be brought to hospital to be treated for injuries.

Gardaí are expected to resume questioning him today.
