Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a young man whose body was recovered from the Grand Canal this morning.

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a young man whose body was recovered from the Grand Canal this morning.

The body was spotted by a passer-by just after 7.30am near the junction of Suir Road and Davitt Road.

The remains have been taken to the city morgue and the State Pathologist's office has been informed.

The dead man is believed to have been in his 20s, but no further details were immediately available.
