Carroll examinership bid to reach conclusion

The hearing involving the application for the appointment of an examiner to seven companies controlled by troubled developer Liam Carroll is expected to conclude in the High Court later today.

Mr Justice Frank Clarke has already said that his judgement would not be delivered for several days.

Last week the court heard from lawyers for ACC bank who said the application was "aspirational and speculative at best".

Lawyers for the Liam Carroll controlled Zoe group argued that the economy would start to grow again in 2011 and that the companies would be solvent in 15 months time.
