More Bord Gáis price cuts possible

Bord Gáis is not ruling out further price cuts in the future.

Yesterday it announced a 10% price cut from next month onwards which has been approved by the Commission for Energy Regulation.

It has also approved a 0.2% cut in electricity prices.

Managing Director of Bord Gáis David Bunworth said there could be more good news for consumers in the future.

“If prices continue to fall we will obviously talk with the CER in order to pass on any savings to our customers.

“At least customers know now that they have a 12-month contract that will be just under 10% less than it was,” he said.
