Three men are due in court in the North later today charged in connection with a riot on Monday night.

Three men are due in court in the North later today charged in connection with a riot on Monday night.

More than 200 people were embroiled in the attacks in east Belfast following a rally which was held to mark the closure of a local police station.

The trouble flared in the Mountpottinger area, at an interface on the Albertbridge Road.

Last night PSNI officers arrested another five men in connection with the incident.
