Dublin hosts international Down Syndrome event

Adults with Down Syndrome from across the globe are meeting in Dublin today to discuss the issues that affect their lives.

The gathering is the first-ever International Synod of People with Down Syndrome and is being held at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

Around 100 people with Down Syndrome will discuss what it means to have a disability, along with issues like employment and independent living.
