A 20-year-old Irish man has drowned in Canada, after getting into difficulty while swimming with two friends off an island in Lake Ontario.

A 20-year-old Irish man has drowned in Canada, after getting into difficulty while swimming with two friends off an island in Lake Ontario.

His friends managed to get ashore and raise the alarm, and his body was pulled from the water about half an hour later.
