Ambulance workers to strike

Ambulance workers in Tipperary have said they will go on strike from midnight on Wednesday.

Stations in Nenagh, Thurles and Roscrea will be affected by the action, which is a response to management imposing new work rosters.

SIPTU claims this is in breach of an agreement which dates back to 1993.

But the union says ambulance drivers will still operate an emergency service in Tipperary throughout the strike.
