PSNI seeks witnesses to Down assault

Police in the North are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Co Down at the weekend.

A man in his 40s was attacked by three men in Rathfriland in the early hours of Saturday morning.

He suffered injuries to his head and upper body.

Three males aged 18, 19 and 20 were later arrested and questioned, but they have since been released on bail pending further inquiries.
