Mayo oil slick contained
An oil slick, created after a boat hit rocks in Broadhaven Bay in Co Mayo, has been contained.
According to a spokesperson for the Ballyglass Lifeboat, the boat's tanks have now successfully been emptied.
The vessel will remain at Broadhaven lighthouse until a decision is made on where it can be towed to for repairs.
The 25 metre vessel, which is attached to the Corrib Gas Project, struck rocks just before 5.30am today.
