Second man held after Limerick sexual assault
A second man has been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a young woman in Limerick.
It is understood a man in his 20s presented himself at Henry Street garda station in the city this afternoon.
Another man in his 20s was previously arrested by gardaà investigating the incident, which is alleged to have taken place over a number of hours in the O'Callaghan's Strand area early this morning.
The victim was treated for a number of injuries at the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick before being taken to the Sexual Assault Unit at Cork University Hospital.
The two men can be held for up to 24 hours under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
