A loyalist band-leader has been fined £750 in the North for spitting at nationalist protestors during an Orange Order parade in Derry city centre last month.

A loyalist band-leader has been fined £750 in the North for spitting at nationalist protestors during an Orange Order parade in Derry city centre last month.

The man, 35-year-old Jason Moubrey, has admitted acting in an offensive and provocative manner.

A second loyalist bandsman, 38-year-old Trevor Simpson, who’s a member of the Pride of the Orange and Blue flute band, also admitted acting in provocative manner at the same parade by using his drumstick in a provocative and disorderly way.
