Classmates form guard of honour for Melissa
Classmates of murdered teenager Melissa Mahon formed a guard of honour at her funeral in Sligo today.
The 14-year-old disappeared almost three years ago, with her body remaining undiscovered until it was found near Lough Gill last year.
In May, 44-year-old Ronnie Dunbar, from Rathbraughan Park in Sligo, was convicted of her manslaughter and sentenced to life in prison.
Around 200 people gathered at St Anne's Church in Sligo today for Melissa's funeral.
Following the service, teachers and classmates from the Mercy Convent formed a guard of honour as her remains made their final journey to Sligo cemetery.
