Cathedral grounds vandalised

Steps have been smashed and railings torn up in the grounds of Armagh Cathedral, police said today.

Vandals are said to have caused a considerable amount of damage to 25 flagstones leading to the Cathedral from the car park at Moy Road.

The PSNI said the incident is between 11pm on Thursday and 8am on Friday.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or has information is asked to come forward.
