Politicians and the police have appealed for calm ahead of tomorrow's Apprentice Boys parade in Derry.

The police said they have intelligence that a small group of people thought to be dissident republicans are intent on causing trouble.

They have warned of a "robust" response.

Former SDLP mayor of Derry, Pat Ramsey, said that in recent years, parades have passed off peacefully but the city is now fearful of what will happen tomorrow.
