A British soldier from the North has died after contracting swine flu.

A British soldier from the North has died after contracting swine flu.

The UK Ministry of Defence says the man had complicated underlying health problems.

Thirty-year-old Lee Porter, from Coleraine, died in hospital in England last Friday, just two weeks after contracting the virus.

Mr Porter is the 31st person to have died from swine flu in Britain.
