Derry man wins £4.5m in lottery

A Co Derry man has won £4.5m (€5.3m) in the British lottery, it emerged today.

The man, who has yet to be named, matched six numbers in Saturday's Lotto jackpot.

He is the North’s third lottery millionaire. Former Belfast bus driver Peter Lavery won more than £10m (€11.75m) in 1996, while north Belfast grandmother Iris Jeffrey won £20m (€23.5m) in August 2004.
