NGOs to campaign over funding cuts

Irish NGOs working in the developing world are to launch a campaign against further cuts in government funding.

The McCarthy report recommended a reduction in such spending, but some aid workers claim this ultimately means that lives will be lost.

Christian Aid Ireland is running a postcard campaign urging the Government to maintain the existing overseas development budget.
