Two held after in connection with assault and robbery of taxi driver

Gardaí have arrested two men in connection with the assault and robbery of a taxi driver in Co Roscommon this morning.

The hackney driver collected two men from a pub in Castlerea at around 2am, but they allegedly assaulted him during the journey and stole his mobile phone and a sum of cash.
