Clarification - Mary Kilcommins

In a court report on the conviction for manslaughter of Galway man Edward Griffin published on this website and in other media on May 5, it was reported that Mary Kilcommins, a witness in the case, was “the mother of one of Griffin’s children”.

The comment was made in open court by one of Mr Griffin’s defence team.

However, Ms Kilcommins has stated that this was factually incorrect and that she is not the mother of any of Mr Griffin’s children.

This website, which was in no way responsible for the error, but which was merely reporting what was said in court, is happy to clarify this for the benefit of Ms Kilcommins.
